Teresa is a passionate community advocate, experienced leader, mom and grandmother who served as MPP for London-Fanshawe since 2011. She is the Official Opposition Critic for Affordability, and for Pensions
In London, she’s fought for her community to have equitable access to resources throughout the pandemic, been part of the effort to bring a school to Summerside, helped tenants access information about their rights, advocated for small business supports and stood firm against Islamophobia.
At Queen’s Park, she was a tireless advocate for hospital services, addiction support, mental health resources, community schools, affordable housing and long-term care.
As the former critic for Children and Youth Services, she’s called the government to task about their mishandling of the Ontario Autism Program, the sudden closure of youth justice centres, the funding cuts for children’s mental health services and the lack of movement on the children welfare system redesign.
Prior to serving as MPP, Teresa was a professional insurance broker and involved with community organizations including the East London Lioness Club, LUSO Centre and the East London Optimist Club.
